A year ago, Molly pulled the whole team into a meeting and, with the delirium and seriousness only she can combine, declared one strict rule going forward: D&D pyjamas must only be worn in bed. Now, this may seem obvious as a pyjama brand but every photo, every design, every wear must be in, on and around the bed, no exceptions. Until now.
This summer I have noticed a trend creeping in. It started with the vintage nighties everyone was wearing on the streets of Lisbon, pyjama trousers crowned Vogue's item of the season, and what Leandra Medine Cohen has aptly named "Public Pyjamas." As the saying goes: rules are made to be broken. But, I couldn't do it alone, so I called the backup of product design extraordinaire Rach (the person whose wardrobe I envy) to wear pyjamas publicly with me for a week. She sent back the slogan for the series:
