Email,
This week marked the 61st anniversary of the Voting Rights Act — and the first anniversary since the Supreme Court gutted it.
Within weeks of that ruling, states began erasing Black-majority districts and making it harder to register. The people who marched, organized, and bled for that law watched a court undo it in a single decision.
So here's what we're doing about it — and how you can double our impact.
Our organizers are already working to register, educate, and mobilize Black voters in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, and North Carolina before the midterms. The 2026 Black Voter Protection Program just launched, and it has already reached hundreds of thousands of voters. Every new registration strengthens Black political power not just this November, but in every election that follows. We are just getting started.
As we recognize the anniversary of the Voting Rights Act, we are excited to announce a dollar for dollar MATCH by a generous donor to power our Black Voter Registration Program.
Every $11 raised registers one new voter, which means a $55 donation today will register 10. Will you rush a matched gift today and double your impact?

As the attacks on our political power grow, one thing is clear: the best way to fight back is to take back that power by registering and mobilizing Black voters like never before.
Across our priority states — Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, and North Carolina — nearly half a million eligible Black voters remain unregistered. That is why our organizing teams are already hard at work making phone calls, sending texts, and preparing our infrastructure to knock doors, host community events, and build trusted relationships. To have the impact we need, we must start now.
Every conversation matters because every new voter strengthens Black political power not just in 2026, but for every election that follows.
Your gift today will help us reach hundreds of thousands more Black voters through texts, calls, canvassing, digital organizing, and community events. Thanks to our match, if you give $55 today, you’ll be registering 10 new voters.
Sixty-one years ago, Black communities changed this country by refusing to let anyone take away their voice. Today, we honor that legacy the same way they did: by standing together and using our power.
