Everybody's got their season-opener ritual.

Some guys sight in the bow. Some clean the gear that's been in the closet since January.

Some just start watching the tree line a little closer on the drive to work.

Mine? It starts with the hat.

Every year I pick the one that's coming with me.

This year it's between three we just made — the Rut, the Stag, and the Slough.

Honestly might rotate all three.
