The Guardians also welcomed back star third baseman José Ramírez from the injured list and witnessed Bazzana’s first career walk-off home run against the Pittsburgh Pirates. To top things off, Cleveland brought the Ohio Cup back to its rightful home in Cleveland, Ohio. While it was an inspiring month on the field, as equally impressive was the organization’s commitment to the Cleveland community off the field. The young athletes from Cleveland competed against RBI teams from across the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic region to earn a spot in the championship game, with a chance to advance to the MLB Nike RBI World Series in Vero Beach, Florida. Although all three teams made it to their championship games, only the Senior Baseball team secured a spot in the Florida tournament with a 10-1 win over Pittsburgh Pirates Nike RBI.
