There’s plenty going on in the news right now, including in Michigan, where Democrats chose Abdul El-Sayed as their Senate nominee to face Republican former Rep. Mike Rogers. But it’s been a fairly quiet Donald Trump day — if that changes, or his effort to sway Senate Republicans to support a permanent daylight savings time measure picks up traction, we’ll let you know. I loved this story from Defector’s Sabrina Imbler, investigating the capacity for non-human animals — specifically other primates — to have pets, or at least to display “some of the behavioral capacities that make pet-keeping possible.” It’s fascinating, and you can read it here with a gift link — enjoy!
