Recipes Our Editors Made At Home This Week By Nina Moskowitz I woke up after a night out feeling, candidly, hungover. A few too many spaghetts! I had bought Japanese milk bread the day before for an otherworldly BLT, so I decided to use the rest to make French toast. Not a bad food weekend if you ask me. I doused the bread in a combination of eggs, milk, sugar, and cinnamon, then sizzled the pieces in butter until the chubby toast had webs of brown on both sides. A pat of extra butter plus a dribble of maple syrup? Just what the doctor ordered. Editors also made Old Bay potato chips, a summer vegetable soup, and more.

The Most-Saved Recipes on Bon Appétit This Week By the Bon Appétit Staff Which recipes topped the charts this week? Breakfasts worth rolling out of bed for. Like make-ahead Morning Glory Baked Oatmeal loaded with grated carrots, apples, and plump raisins, plus this Quick and Cheesy Omelet Roll-Up for mornings when you’ve got five minutes, tops. And while turning on the oven in summer may not be your first instinct (we don’t blame you), these two bakes are worth it. Try BA Bake Club’s Polish cream puff cake ribboned with a magenta plum compote, and an all-time favorite: blistered tomato focaccia. One reader reports, “My partner and I ate almost half of it in the first 15 minutes.” Scroll down for the most-saved recipes on Bon Appétit this week.

The Best Backpack Coolers, According to a Hiker By Francesca Krempa When the weather’s nice (and sometimes even when it’s not), I try to spend as much time as possible out in the fresh air. If you do too, you’ll want to pack drinks and snacks, of course, which always requires some logistics. If your summer plans include snacking or drinking outside in any capacity, you're gonna want a backpack cooler. I put popular models from Yeti, Cotopaxi, Hydro Flask and more to the test on the trails.
