The nib Blues have made history, claiming their third consecutive Sky Super Rugby Aupiki title with a dramatic 28-21 victory over Matatū in Christchurch.
In front of more than 10,000 fans, the defending champions showed remarkable resilience, with winger Katelynn Vaha'akolo scoring the match-winning try in the 80th minute after the scores were tied 21-21 late in the game. Hooker Atlanta Lolohea was named Player of the Match following a standout performance that included two tries.
The victory reinforces the Blues' position as the benchmark in women's rugby and earns them the chance to represent New Zealand in the 2026 Women's Super Rugby Championship, where they will face the NSW Waratahs in Sydney on 1 August.
