We measure the lives of redwoods in centuries, not years. To heal these forests takes time, expertise, and a long-term commitment to see the job through.
Taking on these kinds of ambitious projects—and seeing them through—is what Save the Redwoods has done for more than 100 years. Now, with our Redwoods Rising initiative, we are seeking to restore more than 70,000 acres of forests once damaged by industrial logging. If we can give these young, damaged forests a second chance, they will grow into the old-growth forests of the future. But to do that, we need people like you with us.
We have a funding deadline coming up tonight at midnight. Your gift will help us keep this season’s restoration projects moving forward and put damaged forests on a path to healing.

This work doesn’t happen overnight. But we can already see the fruits of our labor: streams flowing free and clear, fish returning to restored habitats, and young redwoods growing strong. If that’s what we’ve been able to achieve in just a short time, can you imagine how these forests will look in another 20 or 30 years? |
