Dear Email,
Right now, our hard-won victories for farmed animals are under constant threat.
From coast to coast, voters and lawmakers have enacted crucial protections to protect animals and end the most extreme forms of confinement. These successes include two state laws implemented just last year in Colorado and Michigan—as well as landmark measures like California’s Proposition 12.
These laws ensure that farmed animals have enough space to simply stand up, turn around, and lie down.
But powerful interests in Big Ag are fighting back at every turn. A recent bill from the U.S. Senate, misleadingly named the Food Security and Farm Protection Act, is anything but protective. This dangerous proposal threatens to overturn voter-approved laws, weaken crucial farmed animal protections, and send us back to the worst factory farming abuses.
Your voice is the most powerful tool we have to stop them. When supporters like you speak up, we show our representatives that animal protection is a non-negotiable issue.
