This is a hard email to write, so I’ll just come out and say it.

On September 1, our prices are going up.

​

Materials, freight, everything – it's all increased this year, the same as it has for you at the checkout, the petrol station, everywhere.

​

In more than 10 years of running Alton, we've always found a way to hold the line. Absorbing cost increases ourselves, trimming margins, waiting it out. This time, we can't, and continuing to do so would mean we’d have to start cutting corners on quality, and we're not willing to do that.

​

Current pricing holds until September 1, and then we’ll be rolling out the increases. So if there's something you've had your eye on, now's a good time to buy.

We know price increases are never welcome news, especially right now, but it felt important to say something so you’re not taken by surprise, and I wanted to be upfront about why we’ve had to make this call.
