From the hills of Matongo in Northern Burundi, this natural-processed microlot from the Yagikawa Cooperative encaptures everything we love about naturally processed African coffees; fruit-forward sweetness and layered complexity. Produced by smallholders farming less than a hectare each, the attention to detail truly shines at the Rwiri washing station, where ripe cherries are carefully handpicked, dried on raised beds for three weeks, and milled with precision. With beautifully sweet strawberries and cream notes, and a pineapple finish; the result in the cup speaks for itself.
