About SOAFEE Seminar APAC Region 2024 in China |

| The SOAFEE Seminar APAC 2024 brought together prominent figures from SOAFEE members, OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, silicon/foundry partners, and software ecosystem partners. This was a great opportunity for industry leaders to collaborate and exchange knowledge. The seminar began in Shanghai, China and marked the start of a series of events across the entire APAC region. Its goal was to promote closer cooperation among group members, drive the automotive industry, particularly the software-defined vehicle section, towards cutting-edge technological innovations, increase the influence of SOAFEE and lead the industry to new heights with Arm and SOAFEE as the leading figures. |

| Simon Teng kicked off the event with a warm welcome and announced that Arm, alongside SOAFEE group members and partners, would be sharing advanced technologies in the following sections. In the SOAFEE Technical Steering Committee Updates session, two key figures from Arm’s automotive department - Director of Automotive Solutions & Platforms, Robert Day and Technical Director Matt Spenser share their insight into software-defined vehicles of the future, encompassing the entire automotive ecosystem and the software community. |

We have invited our ecosystem partners to share their latest technologies, solutions and use cases on software-defined vehicles and related fields.
During morning session, Jiangrong Ye from AWS talked about "Build a SOAFEE-based, cloud-native peer-to-peer development environment via Amazon Web Services", while Gu Li from Siemens, discussed "Automotive system development using accelerated pre-silicon simulation environment". Wang Lu from Volcano Engine talked about " Cloud-Vehicle Computer Platform ——Open a new experience in the intelligent cockpit", and Lei Liao from GAC spoke about " In-vehicle Software Architecture Discussion ".
In the afternoon’s session, Zhu Jian from Denso discussed “SDV Challenges and Cloud-native System Design Approach”, while Jerry Zhao from Panasonic shared ideas on “Enabling a Software-Defined Automotive Edge with VirtIO Based Device Virtualization”. Tasuku Ishigooka from Hitachi Astemo spoke about “Internet of Vehicles Platform: Towards Value-First Development”, and Chulhee Lee from LG Electronics spoke about “Progress of PICCOLO and Vision of SDV through PICCOLO”. Ian Chu from VicOne elaborated on “Roadmap to Resilience: SDV cybersecurity challenges and opportunities”, while Weihua Song from Thundersoft provided details on “Enable virtualised HMI development for Software-Defined Vehicles”. Ding Wang from Black Sesame spoke about “Investigating Foundational Technologies for Cross-Domain Computing in Intelligent Vehicles” and Zhaozhi Teng expounded ideas on “Vehicle Native Operating System”. |

Apart from deep technology sharing, Arm ecosystem partners such as AutoCore, AWS, Enjoy Move, Siemens, Thundersoft, and Volcano Engine showcased their latest SDV solutions and use cases.
We have invited close collaborating partners from our ecosystem, key figures in the field, and speakers from the seminar for an exciting dinner gathering. This provided a professional platform for academic discussions and a more unstrained occasion for socialising, tightening the relations among all and, hence, turning more collaborations into tangible results. |
