Can We Make Morgan Freeman Speak Perfect Chinese?

By using speech samples from Morgan Freeman speaking in English, a novel computer software produces Morgan Freeman's voice in Chinese.

A foreign movie is more appealing if the foreign actors/actresses speak Chinese in their own voice. The cross-lingual voice conversion technology does just that. It seeks to change the speaker identity of a speech sample from one (source speaker) to another (target speaker) and across two different spoken languages. By doing so, we change the speaker identity while keeping the speech content. The studies show that, with few speech samples from Morgan Freeman, we can make Morgan Freeman speak perfect Chinese for any actors' lines.
