With results from primaries in five states now mostly in, progressives largely failed to trigger the earthquake they expected — even as moderate Democrats often fell just short. Here’s the latest.

In Michigan: Abdul El-Sayed is projected to have won the Democratic Senate primary, clinching the nomination over Rep. Haley Stevens. Progressive activist William Lawrence won his Democratic House primary, while Rep. John James, President Trump’s preferred candidate, won the Republican nomination for governor. [NBC News]
In Missouri: Rep. Wesley Bell won a rematch in the Democratic primary against former Rep. and democratic socialist Cori Bush. Republicans picked state Sen. Rick Brattin to try to unseat Democratic Rep. Emanuel Cleaver and conservative talk radio host Chris Stigall as a potential successor to retiring Rep. Sam Graves. [AP]
Other races: Voters also went to the polls yesterday in Kansas, Virginia and Washington. In Kansas, state Sen. Cindy Holscher defeated state Sen. Ethan Corson in the Democratic primary for governor, while megachurch pastor Adam Hamilton won the Democratic nod for U.S. Senate. Here’s what else went down. [CNN]

Miami authorities attended the home of Perez Hilton, responding to reports that the podcaster had been harming himself on a TikTok livestream. Officials later said that an individual had been "safely recovered and transported" to a local hospital. [USA Today]

Arrest at Trump’s club

A man allegedly armed with a pistol was arrested at the Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles County after taking photos and videos of the grounds. Detectives later found more firearms and “concerning” notebooks at his residence. He is being held on bond. [ABC News]

Lunar collision

A drifting SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, weighing at least 4,000 kg, is thought to have crashed into the moon at speeds of around 5,400 mph. It comes as SpaceX shares tumbled following the company’s first-ever earnings report, which revealed substantial AI spending. [BBC News]
