Physical Health & Wellness: A Holistic Approach for Lasting Change

WWP knows that improving physical health can transform every part of a warrior’s life. Our Physical Health & Wellness program takes a holistic approach, helping veterans build sustainable habits that support both body and mind. Each warrior’s wellness journey begins with a personalized plan tailored to individual goals — whether that’s improved sleep, managing pain, increasing energy, or reducing stress. From there, warriors receive ongoing one-on-one guidance, participate in interactive wellness events, and gain support from a community that understands the veteran experience. “I Found What I Was Looking For”: Joe Stabley’s Journey to Purpose

Warrior Joe Stabley knows what it means to search for a way out — and a way forward. Growing up in a tough Southern California neighborhood, he enlisted at 17, determined to change his trajectory. “I joined the military just to get out of here,” he explains. “And sure enough, I found what I was looking for.” As a special forces medic, Joe deployed five times, driven by what he calls “the ultimate higher calling — to help people.” But the weight of war and trauma followed him home. After his medical retirement, Joe faced post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other challenges, turning to WWP for support. He found healing and began rebuilding through our mental and physical wellness programs. Drawing on his experience as a medic and his interest in mental and men’s health, Joe now works in addiction care with first responders while studying entrepreneurship at college. His goal is simple: to help. “It’s time to give back and help others.”
