Americares is one of the most impactful global health and disaster relief organizations on the planet, helping people here in the United States and around the world at their toughest moments.
As communities large and small have faced the trauma of war and violence, the destruction of natural disasters like hurricanes and earthquakes and the challenge of deadly disease outbreaks like Ebola, Americares has been there, delivering emergency medicine, medical supplies and humanitarian relief as quickly as possible.
I’m so proud to stand with this lifesaving organization. For over two decades, I’ve seen firsthand the work Americares is doing to make a real difference.
Earlier this year, I was honored to accept the Bob and Leila Macauley Humanitarian Spirit Award at the Americares Airlift Benefit, where I shared a simple belief that has guided my work as a board member for years: “When you care, you act.”
That belief is at the core of Americares nearly half a century of lifesaving work. Every day, Americares acts to expand access to health and save lives – whether that’s responding to sudden natural disasters like wildfires and floods or sustaining vital medical care in ongoing conflict zones like Gaza and Ukraine.
