Your support put a Greyshirt medical team on the ground. Here's what they did.

Email,

Venezuela's road to recovery is far from over, but Team Rubicon's Greyshirts were there, because of supporters like you.

Our medical deployment may be complete, but its impact continues. Here’s what our supporters made possible:

– Deployed an 11-person medical and support team of Greyshirts: three doctors; four nurses; a Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) specialist; and three support personnel

– Treated over 400 patients, providing primary care, wound care, respiratory care, chronic disease management, and psychological first aid

– Donated nearly 8,400 medical supplies and pharmaceuticals

Greyshirts worked alongside local responders and healthcare providers throughout the mission, strengthening relationships and supporting the people who will continue serving these communities long after our team returns home.

Ben Crowell, a veteran, first responder, and Greyshirt who was in Venezuela, wrote this about why he went, and what he carried home:

"As I started this journey, I kept asking myself why I was going. Why was I leaving my family and my job to go there? It kept coming back to service, to help, to contribute, to try to make a small difference in the lives of the people we were going there for.

I am so thankful for the gift of service to others, to be in a position to help those in need, and to serve on a team with some really amazing people. I was strongly reminded that serving others is some pretty good medicine, good for the brain, good for the soul."

Venezuela was one call. There will be another. Your support helps ensure Team Rubicon is ready to answer it.
