The Trump administration is coming after the places we love, one after the other -- stripping protections from the forests where we hike with our friends, the parks where we camp with our families, and the lakes where we fish with our kids. Greedy politicians who have been bought out by corporate polluters are attempting to sell out monuments like Bears Ears, Grand Staircase-Escalante, and other precious wildlife habits to the highest bidder.

Workers Deserve Protections From Extreme Heat

Basic protections like access to drinking water, shade, rest areas, and breaks are commonsense and humane measures to protect the more than 36 million Americans at risk of extreme-heat injuries while on the job. But instead of helping protect workers, Congress is moving forward on a bill to block these safeguards.

The Rule That Could Save (or Sink) Your Retirement

A Stake Through the Heart of the Endangered Species Act

In a country driven by political discord, there is one piece of legislation that almost everyone agrees on. The Endangered Species Act has maintained broad bipartisan support since its passage in 1973, with 86 percent of Americans supporting the law. But recent rollbacks by the Trump administration put more than 1,682 species currently listed as endangered or threatened at risk of extinction by taking away their habitat.

A New Fight Over National Monuments Emerges in Utah

Bears Ears and Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monuments protect more than 3.2 million acres in Utah. Combined, the two monuments form one of the largest undeveloped areas in the continental United States, protecting over 100,000 archaeological sites and geological formations.

New Direction in Grizzly Management

On July 14, governors from Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming gathered with Interior Secretary Doug Burgum to announce a major change to the way grizzly bears could be managed in the continental United States. The federal government is currently charged with the grizzlies' protection under the Endangered Species Act. Under the proposed rule revision, decision-making for much of bear country would shift to state-level wildlife agencies.
