America's public lands are supposed to be stewarded for wildlife, recreation, and future generations -- not the next frontier of AI's data center expansion. But that's exactly the precedent that Trump's Department of the Interior is setting.

Federal officials just approved the first-ever data center on public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management -- without any environmental review or meaningful public input.

If we don't act now, data centers will be built on our public lands, threatening our lands, water, and wildlife.

As AI demand explodes, Big Tech and developers want shortcuts around public scrutiny to build massive data centers. The Trump administration's willingness to sell out public lands to its corporate donors violates its mandate to sustainably manage these lands for all of us and future generations.

Case in point: the approved data center project in Boulder City, Nevada would occupy nearly 90 acres of Mojave Desert and strain the Colorado River Basin. This data center project would also burden nearby communities with massive electricity use and air pollution. Sierra Club has already filed an appeal of this project with the Bureau of Land Management, but we need your voice to make sure data centers aren't built on public lands.

Tell Department of the Interior Secretary Doug Burgum: stop this dangerous precedent.

Public lands belong to all of us, not corporations looking for the next convenient place to build massive water and energy-consuming data centers.
