Honoring Mandela Day Through Service
Throughout Mandela Month, Rise Against Hunger Africa brought communities together across South Africa to honor Nelson Mandela's legacy through service. Thousands of volunteers packaged meals that will help nourish children and families while celebrating the idea that each person has the power to create meaningful change.
Reconnecting Around Our Mission
Just days before this newsletter reached your inbox, our global staff gathered in Asheville, North Carolina, for our biannual staff retreat. Together, we reflected on our shared mission, strengthened relationships across teams and returned energized to continue advancing food security through nutrition, education and economic empowerment.

BambooHR Reaches a Major Milestone
Hunger Champion Spotlight
This month, more than 1,000 volunteers gathered with Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church in Flower Mound, Texas, to package more than 300,000 meals for people facing hunger around the world. Alongside the meal packaging event, volunteers also supported local hunger relief by collecting canned food donations for area food pantries demonstrating that compassion can make an impact both globally and close to home.
June Shipment Update
Every shipment represents more than meals—it represents communities coming together to help ensure children and families have access to the nutrition they need while supporting long-term food security.
In June, Rise Against Hunger shipped 16 containers of meals and aid to our in-country partners, helping support communities facing food insecurity.
