Every brand has a starting point. Ours began with surf. Our two co-founders are brothers, and surfers first. On a trip through a surf town, there was something interesting: old billboards being reused as roofing. That sparked the whole idea. If a billboard could survive a storm, it could survive a surfboard. So they brought some scrap billboard to a local shop in LA and asked for a surf bag.
