The Trump administration has refunded approximately $100 billion in tariffs collected under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act before the Supreme Court struck down that authority in February, according to a court filing Tuesday. The sum represents about three-fifths of the nearly $166 billion CBP collected
under IEEPA. The administration built a dedicated portal to handle the claims — but the scale of remaining work is substantial, with more than 330,000 importers and 53 million entries still in the pipeline. |
