| | Phillies swing two trades, acquire Arráez, Kilian and Raley | The Phillies have acquired second baseman Luis Arráez and right-handed pitcher Caleb Kilian from the San Francisco Giants in exchange for minor league right-handed pitchers Ramon Marquez and Marty Gair. The club also acquired left-handed pitcher Brooks Raley from the New York Mets in exchange for minor league right-handed pitcher Luke Gabrysh and minor league outfielder John Spikerman. Arráez, a three-time batting champion (2022-24), has played in 105 games for the Giants this year and over 464 plate appearances, he has a National League-best .324 batting average with a .360 on-base percentage and .440 slugging percentage. He has a .801 OPS with a .345 wOBA and 120 wRC+. In 140 plate appearances against left-handed pitching, he is slashing .315/.341/.441 with a .782 OPS and in 324 plate appearances against right-handers, he is slashing .328/.368/.440 with an .809 OPS. Kilian, 29, has appeared in 45 games for the Giants this season, pitching exclusively in relief. He has struck out 53 of the 193 batters he has faced this year, and his 27.5 percent strikeout rate ranks 15th among all qualified NL relief pitchers. Raley has gone 5-5 with a 1.96 ERA (9 ER, 41.1 IP), 40 strikeouts to 15 walks and a 1.09 WHIP in 45 relief appearances with the Mets this season. His 1.96 ERA is tied for the fourth-lowest mark in the majors among left-handed relievers, which leads all National League southpaws.
