Hey there,
Louise here.
Everyone knows about the Gatherall Bra.
What most people don't know is that 67 prototypes failed before the one you put on felt perfect from the very first wear.
It started with a silicone cupcake mold.
I noticed how thin, flexible, and skin-like the silicone was and thought:
Why doesn't a bra exist that feels like this?
Growing up around my family's apparel business, I knew there had to be a better way than the bulky, unsupportive sticky bras on the market.
So I started experimenting in my kitchen, pouring silicone into baking trays, testing different textures, different thicknesses, different shapes.
That kicked off three years of research, factory visits, and countless prototypes.
I flew to other countries more times than I can count to get the adhesive right.
Every trip was about finding the balance: strong enough to hold all day, gentle enough to remove without irritation, safe enough to sit on your skin for hours.
I tested each version myself.
After countless failed prototypes, #68 felt like "the one."
The adhesive held without irritation.
The silicone was thin enough to blend under fabric but strong enough to actually lift and support.
It survived sweat. It survived a full day of wear.
And when I had friends and family wear it...
For the first time in three years, nobody could give notes or suggest any feedback.
They could only ask if they could keep the prototype.
That's how I knew it was ready.
And that version became the Gatherall Bra.
Eventually, we had it tested by dermatologists and patented, not just to protect the product, but to protect the women who will eventually be wearing it.
Today, the Gatherall bra is available in Nordstrom, Macy's, J.Crew, and has been featured in Vogue, Elle, Forbes, and Bazaar.
I still can't believe it sometimes.
The stores and the press are incredible.
But it's you...
The women who wear it, trust it, and tell their friends about it who made this dream possible.
Thank you for everything.
With love,
Louise
