Beautifully Uneven

Long before a sweater takes its shape, its character has been decided. For the Otranto, it begins with a remarkable linen-and-cotton yarn. Unlike a conventional solid, its vibrant mélange is deliberately uneven—contrasting tones twist and mingle, creating a color that is never quite the same from one inch to the next.

Look closely at the blue Otranto and you can see it. Turquoise, pale blue, and touches of ivory emerge and recede. The irregularity is what makes it beautiful. Rather than a flat, uniform color, the yarn creates movement, depth and an almost sun-dappled quality.

The Otranto's distinctive textured stitch brings that character to life, allowing the nuances of the yarn to reveal themselves throughout the knit. No two stitches appear quite the same. And that's precisely the point.
