Why Linen Endures
Long before linen became synonymous with effortless elegance, it was the fabric of sailors, merchants, and explorers.
For centuries, those navigating the warm waters of the Mediterranean and Atlantic relied on linen for its remarkable comfort. Naturally breathable, exceptionally lightweight, and becoming softer with every wear, it was the ideal companion for the nautical life.
That same enduring character continues today. Our linen is woven in a historic mill near Porto, Portugal, from premium flax fibers, which offer an airy feel, a naturally elegant texture, and the relaxed sophistication that has defined linen for thousands of years.
At Lorenzo Uomo, we craft our shirts with the same philosophy--understated, versatile, and enduring. Some fabrics come and go with fashion. Linen has endured for more than five thousand years. We believe there's a reason for that.
