As Jewish communities continue to face extraordinary challenges across Israel, Ukraine, Venezuela, and beyond, JDC remains on the ground helping people recover, rebuild, and strengthen Jewish life. During the briefing, JDC’s CEO Ariel Zwang shared firsthand reflections from her recent visits with Jewish communities, professionals, and local partners in Israel, Georgia, Poland and Ukraine, highlighting a common reality: while every crisis is different, meaningful recovery requires trusted partnerships and a long-term commitment.

We also heard updates from colleagues on the ground in Ukraine and Venezuela, where JDC continues to provide life-saving assistance while strengthening communities for the future. From supporting older adults, children, and families living through ongoing conflict in Ukraine to helping Venezuela's Jewish community and the broader population recover and rebuild following the recent devastating earthquakes, JDC remains alongside those we serve throughout the long road to recovery.
