We want to take a moment to spotlight the heartbreaking reality facing polar bear mothers in the Western Arctic. With the Arctic melting 4x faster than the rest of the world, struggling mama polar bears and their helpless cubs are paying the price.
Exhausted, starving, and desperately clinging to survival, the consequences for these vulnerable polar bear families are devastating:
Melting sea ice means mother polar bears are arriving on land with dangerously low fat reserves after failed hunting seasons, leading to LOWER CUB SURVIVAL RATES during denning and nursing. Mama polar bears are now being forced to swim unimaginable distances through freezing Arctic waters while their weak cubs DROWN trying to keep up.
