Old-growth forests provide homes for wildlife, filter drinking water, protect against wildfires, and absorb climate-warming greenhouse gas emissions. Some of these trees are THOUSANDS of years old, Andy. That means that if they’re cut down, we can’t solve the problem by planting a few new ones. If Trump and his cronies get away with bulldozing through old-growth National Forests, there is no going back:
Innocent animals will be forced from their homes, leaving them vulnerable to EXTINCTION. Without wildfire-resistant mature trees, fires will tear through the landscape and destroy everything in their path – damaging our public lands irreparably. Air pollution from these fires will affect communities near and far, just as we’ve seen smoke from wildfires ravage parts of the United States in recent weeks.
