THE WRONG PERSON IS IN PRISON — TAKE ACTION »

This is unbelievable, Andy:

Last week, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu traveled freely to the U.S. for meetings with President Trump and other leaders, despite the outstanding ICC arrest warrant for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Meanwhile, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya — a Palestinian pediatrician who has devoted his life to caring for children in Gaza — remains locked inside an Israeli prison after more than 18 months without charge, without trial, and without due process.

The contrast couldn't be more stark.

New reports from Dr. Abu Safiya’s lawyer describe fresh bruises and signs of torture that left him barely recognizable and on the verge of losing consciousness. He is growing weaker every single day.

Time is running out. Dr. Abu Safiya’s life is in grave danger.

The good news is that members of the House of Representatives are taking action to push for his release: a group of House Representatives is leading an emergency letter urging Secretary Rubio to secure Dr. Abu Safiya’s freedom.

The deadline for Representatives to sign the letter is TOMORROW — we need every lawmaker to cosign it and make it impossible for Sec. Rubio to ignore.

Here are two things you can do:

  1. Take action by sending your letter here in two clicks. Every additional congressional signature helps strengthen the call for Dr. Abu Safiya's release.

  2. Pick up the phone 📞 and call 646-392-7250 to ask your Representative to sign onto the letter.

When we come together, we can free Palestinians unjustly detained:

We’ve done it with Munther Amira, a Palestinian social worker and human rights defender, who looked to Amnesty when Israeli forces held him in prison for six months for participating in a peaceful protest.

We’ve done it with Dr. Khaled Al Serr, a Palestinian surgeon who was taken by Israeli forces while working at his hospital and detained for more than six months without charges or trial.

Tens of thousands of you raised your voices, and we didn’t stop until they were both free.

As of this week, we surpassed 100,000 total actions calling for Dr. Abu Safiya’s release, and we need to keep it up.

Thank you for not turning your back in his hour of need.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Rghebi

P.S. Please watch our video with Dr. Abu Safiya’s son, and here’s our action guide — share with others and let’s keep up the pressure.
